The Electrical Safety Experts

For safety reasons, more and more insurance companies are insisting that Portable Appliance Testing is carried out before an insurance policy can be renewed.

The Electricity at Work Regulations also place a legal responsibility on employers and self employed persons to take reasonable practical steps to ensure no danger results from the use of any electrical appliances.

PAT TestingOur PAT Testing procedure

The level of inspection and testing depends on the type of appliance and the risk of it becoming faulty plus the environment in which it is used. All this will be discussed with you before any testing is carried out.

All our work is carried to IEE Regulations, Health & Safety standards, and The Electricity at Work Act and is inclusive of minor repairs and retests plus:

  • Replacement of standard plug tops and fuses where necessary
  • All Pass/Fail Labels
  • Unique barcoded asset number for identification
  • Record of each asset inspected and tested, including company name, location, description, test result & next test due date
  • Paper, CD and/or web-based reports
  • PAT Testing Certificate (Electrical Safety Certificate)
